Dr. Trevor J. H. Scudamore, MD, is an adult psychiatrist specializing in mood disorders. He has extensive experience in treating PTSD, ADHD, GAD, Panic disorder, Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), and Bipolar disorder

Dr. Trevor is passionate about empowering patients to gain a deeper understanding of their psychiatric challenges. He collaborates with them to provide insights into strategies for enhancing their mental well-being.

His evolving interest lies in integrative psychiatry, which embraces an evidence-based and holistic approach to mental health care.

In addition to conventional methods, he assists patients in reevaluating their lifestyle habits, such as exercise and nutrition. 

Dr Trevor has resided in over four countries and traveled to more than 50 nations. This diverse experience enables him to empathize and connect deeply with people facing challenges during transitional periods or relocations.

Education

Dr. Trevor started his educational journey by studying cell biology and genetics at the University of British Columbia. He then ventured into medical and biotech research at Genzyme in Boston, MA.

Despite his immersion in this field, he felt a longing for human connections, which drove him toward the path of practicing medicine. He completed his MD in Europe and underwent clinical rotations at Baylor University, the University of Miami, OU, and Metropolitan Hospital in New York.

Dr. Trevor has always been passionate about learning and understanding the complexity of the brain and its impact on human behavior. He completed his specialization in Psychiatry at SUNY Upstate Medical Center.

His training includes both inpatient and outpatient care, with a focus on medication management and neuromodulation techniques such as ECT/TMS.

Moreover, the program focused on supervised therapy training, including Psychodynamic Therapy (PDT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP).
