Dr. Bell is a board-certified psychiatrist with over 24 years of experience in mental health care. After serving as a U.S. Army field medic, he discovered his calling in psychiatry through Emily Dickinson's poem "The Brain — is wider than the Sky," realizing that the mind's inner universe was his true frontier to explore. Dr. Bell earned his medical degree from Meharry Medical College and completed his residency and chief residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He has contributed to research at the National Institutes of Health, focusing on treatment-resistant depression, and has received numerous awards for his clinical excellence and academic contributions.
Dr. Bell has developed the "Dread Philosophy" framework—a transformative approach that helps clients use their suffering as a catalyst for growth and enlightenment. He specializes in working with individuals seeking a higher path of being, focusing on common themes of fear, anxiety, and the challenges of anticipating the future or processing the past.

Dr. Bell's working style emphasizes deep listening, creating a space where patients feel truly heard and empowered. He is passionate about telepsychiatry's ability to break down barriers and make mental health care more accessible. Outside of practice, he enjoys music, surfing, and writing, and is currently developing his manuscript "The Guild and Gardens of Dread Philosophy," set for release in 2030. Dr. Bell partners with clients who are ready to transform their suffering into strength and discover deeper meaning in their lives.
